The suggestion that an effort should be made to provide the College with a song of real merit is timely. Past attempts in this direction have been anything but successful, largely because the men best fitted to write such songs have not bestirred themselves. There are several undergraduates who can write verse well enough to turn out something comparatively permanent. It is to be hoped that they will do what they can for such a deserving cause.
