Interscholastic Games.

The twelfth annual championship meeting of the Interscholastic Athletic Association was held yesterday afternoon on Holmes Field under the auspices of the Harvard Athletic Association. Owing to the heavy shower that began after the first trial of the 220-yards hurdles, six events had to be postponed until Monday, June 7.

As none of the bicycle men came with in the time limit in yesterday's race, that event will be run off on the Charles River track this afternoon.

When the games were interrupted, Hopkinson stood first with twelve points, English High being a close second with eleven. In the seven events that were finished, three records were broken and one equalled. Hallowell, of Hopkinson, won the high hurdles in 16 2-5s., lowering W. W. Hoyt's record by one second. In the 880-yards run, McGarrett, of the Cambridge High and Latin, equalled R. F. Hanson's record of 2m. 1 1-5s. In the high jump, Rotch, of Hopkinson, made a new record of 5 ft. 8 in., raising C. J. Paine's record one-quarter of an inch. In this event, Kendall and Howe, of Worcester Academy, and Ellis, of Andover, tied for second place with the bar at 5 ft. 6 1-2 in. The three points were divided among the two schools, and in the jump-off Kendall won the second prize and Howe the third.

In the mile walk, Mills, of Chauncy Hall, won easily and would have lowered the record but for a strained ligament in his leg, which greatly weakened him in the last lap.
