The game was marked by steady playing on both sides. with but little brilliant playing, but many exciting moments. A very large crowd was present, every seat being filled and a large crowd in centre and right field. The cheering was the best that has been heard on Holmes Field for years, and showed thorough enthusiasm throughout.
