Dr. William Lawrence Dana '83 died suddenly at his home in Portland Me., Thursday morning.
Dr. Dana was born in Portland in 1862 and prepared for college in a public school of Portland. After graduating from Harvard in the class of '83 he received the medical doctorate from Bowdoin College in 1886. For a year he was house doctor at the Maine General Hospital. He then took a special course in New York and finally settled in Portland in the practice of his profession, where he remained until his death.
