The 'Varsity nine devoted most of its work yesterday to practice in fielding, though a little batting was done at the start. Dean was out again, but both he and Chandler retired after a short time, being replaced by Martin and Litchfield of the College nine. The fielding was rather slow, as many attempts were made at difficult double plays and other tricks with men on bases.
Dean and Paine go to New York to morrow to see the Yale-Princeton game. Their places in the Holy Cross game will be taken by Litchfield and Fitz.
