Princeton won the second game with Yale on Saturday afternoon before an audience of 8000 at Princeton by the score of 16 to 8. The stands were crowded with Princeton alumni, who had come to Princeton for Commencement week. The third and deciding game of the series will be played at New York on Saturday, June 19.

The game was much more closely contested than the score would indicate. Both teams batted well but Princeton's hits were made with men on bases. Both Hamlin and Jayne were obliged to retire, the former in the fourth and the latter in the seventh inning, and their places were taken by Fearey and Altman.

Yale excelled in fielding, making only two errors to Princeton's seven. Princeton's batting, however, was remarkable. In the fourth inning Princeton knocked out two singles, a double, a tripple and a home run. Again in the ninth inning Smith Knocked a home run over Greenway's head, the longest hit ever made on Princeton field. Against such hitting Yale's fielding did not count for much.
