C. D. Bradlee '52.

The Rev. C. D. Bradlee, of the class of 1852, died at his home in Brookline last Saturday evening. He was born in Boston, February 24, 1831. Two years after his graduation in the class of '52, Dr. Bradlee was ordained pastor of the Allen Street Church, North Cambridge. In 1855 he received the degree of M. A. from Harvard and the degree of D. D. and Ph. D. from the Galesville University in 1888 and 1889 respectively. While still an undergraduate at Harvard in 1851 he was the founder of the Boston Young Men's Christian Union.

Dr. Bradlee leaves behind him a long record of valuable service to the Unitarian Church, and was also well known for his widespread interest in literature. He was a member of many historical societies in the United States and Europe.
