The refusal of the Yale Yacht Club to sail a Harvard-Yale regatta at Newport in June may be justified by the lateness of Yale's Commencement; but it could not be much more of a concession on the part of the Yale Yacht Club to hold the regatta there in spite of this drawback, than for the Harvard Yacht Club to go around Cape Cod, if it were only to Newport. The regattas which have already been held have all taken place at New London with great inconvenience for Harvard men and ease for the Yale men; and now if the Yale Yacht Club can not even make the small concession of sailing at Newport instead of New London, the failure to arrange the regatta can not in any way be blamed upon Harvard.
