The Freshman crew rowed a one-mile stretch with the B. A. A. and the Union Boat Club crews yesterday afternoon. B. A. A. won a lead of about two lengths over the Freshmen, who finished about the same distance ahead of the Union eight. The time of the race was 4m. and 50s The order of the 1900 crew was as follows: Stroke, Byrd; 7, Kernan; 6, Higginson; 5, Heath; 4, Howard; 3, Glidden; 2, Brown; bow, Saltonstall; coxswain, Fitzgerald.
Next Thursday the Freshmen will row the Worcester High School crew on Lake Quinsigamond. The course will be one and a half miles, and the makeup of the 1900 crew will probably be the same as in yesterday's race, with the exception of Biddle, who will row at 7.
