A renewal of activity was noticeable at the Weld Boat Club yesterday. The intermediary crew was out for the first time in a shell. The make-up of the junior crew was also decided upon. Both crews were given very light work. The men will begin strict training immediately for a race with B. A. A., to take place in about ten days.

The intermediary elected W. S. Youngman, L. S., as captain. P. Davis '99 was elected temporary captain of the juniors. The order in which the crews rowed was as follows:

Intermediary-Stroke, Conroy '99; 7, DuBois '98; 6, Bancroft '97; 5, Coleman '99; 4, Garrett '99; 3, Pierce 1900; 2, Youngman, L. S.; bow, Butler '98.

Juniors-Stroke, Harding 1900; 7, Dinsmore '99; 6, Millard '98; 5, Wood '98; 4, Davis '99; 2, Gregg '97; 3, Bigelow '99, bow, Bedford 1900.

The single sculling race which was to have taken place the day of the class races, but which was twice postponed on account of rough water, will be rowed next Monday. All men who desire to enter should hand their names to Donovan at the boathouse before Wednesday evening.

It is proposed, at the suggestion of Mr. Lehmann, to have Mr. Fox, of England, who has taken considerable interest in rowing at Harvard this year, give a series of talks on rowing, illustrated by stereopticon, under the auspices of the club.
