The Freshman nine was defeated by '97 yesterday in a five-inning game by a score of 10-7. Ninteen hundred gave a wretched exhibition of baseball throughout, though the defeat was largely due to Foster's poor pitching.
The squad has been reduced to thirteen men, all of whom will be taken to New Haven next Friday. They are: McCornick, Edmunds, Sears, Farrington, Ewer, Loughlin, Foster, Cutting, Egbert, Moore, Beardsell and Fraunfelter.
In the batting practice yesterday, Rainbolt was hit on the head by a pitched ball, and in falling broke his collar bone.
