The final competition for the Boylston Prizes in declamation was held last night in Sanders Theartre. The prizes, five in number-two first prizes of sixty dollars each, and three second fo forty-five dollars each, were awarded as follows: Charles Grilk '98 and H. B. Huntington '97, first prizes. E. B. Barton '98, S. robinson '98 and W. T. B. Williams '97, second prizes.
The speaking was good, although the audience was unusually small. The judges were: President C. W. Eliot, Dean L. B. R. Briggs, Dr. Justin Winsor, Rev. S. M. Crothers, C. F. Mason, J. B. Williams, Assistant Professor Wendell. Mr. Lehmann was to have been one of the judges but was unable to attend.
