Now that the athletic season is well advanced, everyone would like to see the college band, which was so useful in athletic celebrations, reorganized and ready to serve in the event of baseball or track athletic victories. This band was gotten up last spring, and, after the victories of the baseball nine, took an active part in leading the singing in the student celebrations. As the dual track games with Yale and the first championship baseball game with Princeton take place next Saturday, and as the Harvard teams have good chances to win in both of them, the band may be needed this week. But whether it should be needed on this particular occasion or not, it would be unfortunate to let the organization die out for lack of interest, and those who played in it last year are urged to take the matter in hand.
