"THE CRAIGIE." -It is of particular interest to the College to note that ground was broken yesterday for a new dormitory, to be located on Mt. Auburn street, near the Peabody Club, as the building will contain many novel features which will appeal strongly to students desiring the most modern improvements at a moderate price.

The building will be known as "The Craigie," and rooms will be arranged in groups of three, four and five, with bath, thus accommodating from one to five students. These rooms will be rented for about one hundred dollars each, including heat, and the student can thus select the size of suite he wants, in accordance with his means.

Every detail of construction is to be of the most modern design, including open plumbing, hardwood floors, open fireplaces, etc. The location is admirably adapted to student requirements, being near the college, convenient to Soldiers Field, and next door to the Peabody Club, where excellent meals may be obtained.

Plans are at Thurston's, who will have the renting of the rooms. Several of the suites have already been rented.

A CHARMING BOOK ABOUT OLD VIOLINS.- Violinists everywhere will hail with delight the beautifully printed and authoritatively written book about Old Violins, just published by Lyon and Healy, Chicago. The fact that this volume contains a list of the old violins offered for sale by Lyon and Healy, and will therefore be sent free upon application, does not detract from its literary value nor from the keen interest with which its facsimile labels and other quaint illustrations will be viewed.
