Through an error it was stated in yesterday's CRIMSON that the Harvard track team which is to meet the Institute of Techology team on May 15 is to be composed of men rejected from what is known as the Harvard Mott Haven team. This gives a wrong impression of the true condition of affairs. By agreement Harvard can use any man who competes against U. of P. The only restriction is that naturally no man who competes at New Haven can the same day be used against Technology. While the Harvard team that meets M. I. T. will be known as a second team, it is certain to have men on it who will be on the team which meets U. of P. on May 8, and very likely on the University team that goes to New York for the intercollegiate games.
The idea of the second Mott Haven team is that it shall strengthen the first team by encouraging more men to train until the end of the season. If a man shows sufficiently promising work on the second team, he will, of course, be taken to the first.
