Although the first baseball game of the season is not looked upon as of much importance, it really has more significance than is generally supposed. As comparatively few have followed the practice thus far, many will get their first impression of the Nine from this game. If a good showing is made there will be a widespread and appreciative interest aroused at once; but if the men play the same listless, ragged baseball that characterized the opening game two years ago it will have the same rather depressing effect all around. The Crimson wishes the Nine success at this the beginning of its season, and hopes that all who can will attend this afternoon to show their interest in its work.
