Those eighty or more Seniors whose records in scholarship entitle them to try for Commencement Parts are expected to meet Professor Hill at half past four in Sever 1 this afternoon to talk over the subjects and preparation of their parts.

As Colonel Higginson found occasion to say in his address yesterday, nearly half the graduating class used to prepare Commencement Parts when he was in College. Of course the changed conditions make this impossible now; but there is no reason why there should not be the same class loyalty and ambition for academic distinction that there was fifty years ago. As ninety-seven has been such a representative class in other ways it is to be hoped that all the men who are fitted to try for parts will do so and thus make the record of their class in scholarship as good as it has been in other things.
