Since the arrival of Mr. Lehmann the crew has been working very hard, rowing fast stretches every afternoon, though they have not as yet gone over a mile and a half when they were rowing their hardest. Yesterday afternoon they rowed a five minute stretch, but did not stay out quite as long as usual owing to the fact that today they will go over a four mile course on time.
This afternoon the crew will start from the Union boat-house about 4.20 and row four miles up stream, finishing a little above the University boat-house. This is somewhat earlier than the crew has usually begun four mile time rows but the Yale crew has been rowing four mile stretches for nearly two weeks. Mr. Lehmann's especial object in having this trial is to see how the crew will hold together under the strain of such a test.
The make-up of the crew will be as follows: Stroke, J. F. Perkins; 7, Goodrich; 6, Thomson; 5, J. H. Perkins; 4, Sprague; 3, Hollister; 2, Moulton; bow, Wrightington.
