To the Editors of the Crimson:

Perhaps the most popular exercise in the Gymnasium is hand-ball. It seems strange that this game must be given up when the warm weather approaches. Many men play this game who have neither the desire, ability nor means of indulging in other outdoor sports. At a comparatively small cost hand-ball courts can be erected in the open air; the space used will be small and the running expenses will be nothing.

Hand-ball is one of the few games that every one can play and most men can become proficient in it in a short time. It gives good exercise, requires activity and acuteness, and tests the powers of endurance. It seems strange that the game is not taken up more by colleges in general. It can be played as scientifically as tennis and similar games.
