The clipping from the Philadelphia Ledger, reprinted in another column, comes very seasonably, after the recent editorial in the Graduates' Magazine, and the discussion raised thereby as to the loyalty of Harvard correspondents. it is an example of the most contemptible kind of disloyalty. Such an article printed in a leading American newspaper, an account not only untrue, but vilely slanderous, can not but injure Harvard vitally. It is to be sincerely hoped that the writer is not a Harvard man; if he is a Harvard man, the sooner he ceases to be the better.
