The Yale freshman crew has declined a challenge for a boat race with Annapolis on account of the difficulty in arranging a date.

The Yale Alumni of Boston held their annual dinner last night at the Parker House. R. J. Cook, the rowing coach, was present and spoke.

The following were re-elected officers of the United States Lawn Tennis Association at its annual meeting in New York: President, Dr. James Dwight; vice-president, J. C. Clarke; treasurer, V. G. Hall; secretary, J. T. Whittlesey. R. D. Wrenn, Harvard '95, was elected a member of the executive committee.

The committee of the National League which has charge of the revision of the baseball rules met recently in Philadelphia and decided to report only a few changes from last year's rules. The most important of these will be, the strict enforcement of the rule against balks, the pitcher being compelled to keep his foot on the marble slab as defined by the rules, and the limitation of having no more than one coach on the coaching lines at any one time.
