Natural History Society.

The sixtieth anniversary of the founding of the Harvard Natural History Society is to be celebrated by a special meeting to be held in the lecture room of the Fogg Art Museum on Friday, December 17th, at 8 p. m. Professor Shaler will give an address on the history of the society, and Mr. William T. Hornaday of the New York Zoological Society will deliver a lecture on "The Preservation of our Native Animals."

Members of the University or former members of the society may obtain tickets by sending a written application with stamped envelope to W. L. W. Field, secretary, 58 Hastings before December 15th.

The 816th regular meeting will be held tonight in Sever 5 at 7.30. The paper will be by Mr. M. L. Fernald on some recently-discovered New England plants.
