The first of the hare and hound runs will be started from the gymnasium this afternoon at 4.15 o'clock. D. Grant M. S., and W. C. Burton '99, will be hares, and A. W. Blakemore L. S., will be master of hounds. A. N. Rice 1900, and of the run. This run will be from five to six miles in length and will be governed by the following rules:
The hares will receive five minutes start.
The break will be marked at the end of the trail by a pile of paper.
The hounds must not pass the master of hounds until the break is reached, then they may take the shortest way home.
If three hounds reach home within three minutes of the hares they will all receive prizes, otherwise only the first two hounds will receive prizes.
The first two hounds will be the hares for the next run which will be held on Friday, October 12.
