A meeting to organize the Sophomore Debating Club for the coming year was held in Harvard 1 last evening and forty-two men assured the success of the new club by signing the constitution as members. The officers for the first half-year were elected as follows: President, E. C. Carter; vice-president, T. H. Whitney; secretary, W. M. Chadbourne; treasurer, H. S. Bowers. Member of executive committee, R. C. Hatch. Future meetings of the club will be held on Thursday evenings in Sever 11, the first regular debate to be held on November 11.
