This afternoon the final game of the class series will be played between the Juniors and the Freshmen. The contest should prove a close one. The Freshman team is probably the stronger of the two, but it must contend against the inherent prestige of the upper class, and the greater experience of the Junior players. The 1901 eleven will therefore hardly do itself justice without the moral support of a friendly crowd back of it. The Freshman class will do well to bear in mind then that the place for them this afternoon is Soldiers Field. They are represented by a strong team and if they can supply their players with that useful measure of self-confidence, which comes from the feeling that the class is with them, they stand a very good chance of distinguishing themselves by winning the class championship.

There is one other point in connection with today's game which deserves attention. The game between '98 and '99 was marked by a most undignified and unneccessary amount of roughness. In fact it was an exhibition of petty bumptiousness which savored strongly of high school methods. So far the Freshmen have shown no tendency to do anything but play football, and it is natural that they should continue to attend strictly to business today. It rests therefore with the Juniors to see to it that as far as they are concerned there shall be no repetition of the undesirable features of Friday's game.
