Second Half.At 3.10 Cadwalader kicked off to Haughton, who returned the punt. DeSaulles fumbled and Bouve fell on the ball on Yale's 45-yard line. After slight gains by Dibblee, Yale got the ball on a fumble and quickly punted to Dibblee in the middle of the field.
Haughton kicked to McBride on his 15 yard line. The latter was tackled by Moulton who was slightly injured but quickly resumed play.
After McBride had punted out, Harvard tried forcing Yale's line, with little effect and only slight gains. Haskell was injured in one of these rushes and Norton Shaw was substituted. Yale was penalized five yards for interference, for the first time during the game.
Harvard began pouncing on Yale's line using Bouve with telling effect against Marshall and Brown. Parker then hurdled through left tackle for seven yards, carring the ball to Yale's 10-yard line. Cabot added five more through Rodgers, but with the ball on Yale's five-yard line Cabot and Farker were both thrown back for loss.
On a fake Garrison also failed to gain and Yale was given the ball on downs on their 10 yard line. McBride punted to Dibblee on the 25 yard line. McBride's punts against the wind were short and far inferior to Haughton's in the first half.
With the ball on their 25 yard line, Yale's forwards showed great strength and were again given the ball on downs. McBride was forced to punt to Haughton, who immediately returned the kick to McBride in Yale's 25 yard line.
Attempts at rushing were again ineffectual. McBride's kick was blocked, but the ball fell into Chamberlain's arms.
On the next kick, interference by Hall gave Harvard the ball in the middle of the field. DeSaulles caught Haughton's punt and Yale quickly began their defensive game by again punting to Cabot. Swain was then injured and his place taken by Wheeler.
Haughton punted over the line. After Harvard's backs had made several minor gains, Haughton caught McBride's free kick in the middle of the field and returned on the next play. Both teams kicked continually, and Yale succeeded in advancing the ball on these plays to Harvard's 40 yard line. Haughton then kicked to DeSaulles, who eluded Cabot and ran 20 yards to the middle of the field.
Haughton caught McBride's kick on his 20-yard line. McBride's punts were better placed and longer than during the first half when the wind favored him.
An exchange of punts and failure of Harvard's back to make any substantial gains then gave Yale the ball on their 35-yard line.
Yale's backs then began to show their strength, and succeeded in forcing the line steadily for small gains, although Yale was soon forced to kick.
Donald's knee was injured and Mills went in. Haughton punted to McBride and Mills downed him beautifully on the play.
An exchange of punts followed in one of which DeSaulles eluded the Harvard end and dodged for 10 yards.
The game ended with Yale's ball on her 20 yard line.
