All men interested in chess, whether members of the club or not, are urged to try for their class team. The games in the inter-class contests are to be played at the convenience of the men, the only condition being that the games be finished by May 1st. Prizes will be awarded to the members of the winning team and to the men on the other three teams who have the best scores. Class champions have been appointed as follows: '98, J. Hewins, Jr.; '99, F. E. Thayer; 1900, W. C. Arensberg; 1901, H. V. Poor. These are also captains of their respective teams. They may be challenged by any member of their respective classes for their position as class champion. Names of candidates for these teams must be handed in to Grays 31 before Wednesday evening next.

Michelson 1901.
