As 1900 has played but one regular game this season, it is difficult to make a trustworthy comparison between it and the Freshman eleven. Though the practice games against the substitutes were at first very loose and the interference slow and ragged, the team work has improved very much of late. The eleven has been greatly weakened by the loss of the ends, Beardsell and Clarke, who will be unable to play on account of injuries received in practice, and the loss of Gray and Livermore who are playing with the second 'Varsity. For a class eleven, the line is very light, but the men are individually good and play with a great deal of snap. The team work has been greatly handicapped by the lack of coachers.
