At the first meeting of the newly organized Freshman Debating Club held last evening in Sever 11, H. W. Bowker was chosen temporary chairman. It was voted that the chair appoint a committee to draw up resolutions in regard to the University Club project. The subject for the next debate will be "Resolved that for the U. S. a protective tariff is better than a tariff for revenue only." Affirmative-S. H. E. Freund and S. Stickney; negative-W. S. Davis and E. E. Coolidge.
