We have been requested to call attention to a fact in connection with Morning Prayers at Chapel, which though a small matter in itself, is of importance because it affects the impression made upon visiting preachers. There is a tendency among those who regularly attend prayers in the mornings to crowd into the back part of the Chapel, thereby leaving a rather formidable row of empty seats between the preacher and his congregation. The notices on the side doors reserving seats for members of the Faculty, etc., of course apply only to Sunday evening services. There is therefore no necessity for leaving those seats vacant, and we suggest that if the men will sit farther forward it will not only make it much easier to address them, but is will also infuse an air of greater cordiality into the reception accorded to the clergymen who come to us as strangers. The attention may seem trivial but we think it would be appreciated.
