Harvard-Yale Debate.

The date of the Harvard-Yale debate has been definitely fixed for Friday, Dec. 3. A later date was suggested by the Harvard committee but owing to the time of the Yale December examinations, it was found to be out of the question.

It will therefore be necessary for all arrangements to be pushed as much as possible. The trial debate to select Harvard's representatives will accordingly be held on Wednesday evening, Oct. 27, probably in Sever 11. Harvard's choice of sides on the question will, however, probably not be announced until after the trial, as it does not need to be sent to Yale until the latter part of next week.

Word has been sent to Yale that Harvard accepts the question proposed by Yale, "Resolved, That the United States should annex the Hawaian Islands."
