The '99 team easily defeated E. H. S. yesterday by a score of 24 to 0.
In the first half the play was mostly in English High 's territory, but owing to the bad fumbling of the '99 men they were only able to score once. In the second half '99 played much better. A great deal of ground was gained on returning kicks and three touchdowns were made by long runs. Adams first crossed the line on a long run around the end. Soon after Macomber scored on a dash down the side-line, and then toward the last minutes of the game Macomber made the last touchdown by a run around the right end.
'99's game showed that their greatest weakness lay in their fumbling and in the slow running of the backs. Catlin and Adams did the best work for '99, both showing up well in many plays. The teams lined up as follows:
