The tennis tournament to decide what teams shall represent Harvard in doubles at New Haven next week, was played down to the finals at Longwood yesterday. L. E. Ware '99 and M. D. Whitman '99 won their side of the tournament rather easily, and will play D. Davis 1900 and H. Ward 1900 tomorrow.
After the match tomorrow all the teams who have been beaten by the winners of the tournament will be drawn again and they will then play off for second place.
The summary is as follows:
First Round.
H. Ward 1900 and D. Davis 1900 beat R. H. Carleton '98 and R. McKittrick '99, by default.
L. E. Ware '99 and M. D. Whitman '99 beat E. R. Marvin '99 and H. Shaw '99, 6-1, 6-4.
Semi-Finals.
H. Ward 1900 and D. Davis 1900 beat H. J. Holt '98 and H. Foster '98, 6-4, 6-3.
L. E. Ware '99 and M. D. Whitman '99 beat J. D. Forbes '99 and W. M. Scudder '99, 8-6, 6-1.
