At Leavitt and Peirce's a subscription list has been started to pay the fines of the men who were arrested during the celebration on Wednesday. Much as we deplore the occurrence, we feel that in principle those who were among the crowd of students that went down to the station house on that night are as much to blame as the men who were taken, and it is only fair that they should share the penalty. So far the subscriptions have amounted to nearly one-half of the necessary sum, which shows that only one-fourth of the men who were concerned in the trouble have volunteered to share in the fine.
