This afternoon the Biennial Games of the H. A. A. are to be held on Holmes Field. The Mott Haven Team has not been well supported by the students this year, although it is one of the leading athletic organizations of the University. The funds in the treasury of the Athletic Association have been so small that for a time it looked as if the team could not go to a training table at all this year. This has, however, been arranged, but the Association is still greatly in need of financial assistance, and it hopes that the receipts from the games today will be large enough to put it once more upon a sure basis.
It seems to us that here is an excellent opportunity for students to aid their athletic team. The admittance charged to the games is very small, and the contests promise to be close and exciting. Then too this will be the last chance that the students will have to see the work of the men who will represent Harvard at the Mott Haven games. The record of the athletes has so far been most encouraging, and there seems to be an excellent chance of Harvard winning first place again in the great contest in New York. Every man who goes to the games this afternoon will not only see an unusually interesting athletic meet, but will also have the satisfaction of feeling that he is materially aiding the athletic team and thereby increasing the chances of victory in the final contest.
The CRIMSON will post a bulletin of the Princeton game on the field by innings.
