A chance will be given the students today to aid the Student Volunteer Work Committee very effectively. Men who have the means but who are not able to give the time to active charitable work can nevertheless do a great deal to help the poor in Boston by giving any cast-off clothing they may have to the collectors today. As the committee is composed largely of men who have had a great deal of experience in missionary work in the city, the students may feel assured that their gifts will be distributed among those who are destitute and deserving of aid. The Volunteer Work Committee deserves to be warmly congratulated upon the close of its second year of service. It is doing a noble work quietly and earnestly, and has given hundreds of wretched, starving people in the great city reason to be grateful to Harvard and her students.
