There was an improvement in the playing in the tennis tournament yesterday. There were several close matches. Ingraham and Foster played well, but Ingraham proved too steady for his opponent and won in three sets. The match between Thomas and Scudder was very close and it was doubtful who would win down to the last point. Forbes and McKittrick played pretty well, but both showed a lack of practice.
