Harvard Union.

One week from tonight the Harvard Union will hold a competitive debate for membership, at which the competition will be restricted to members of the Freshman Class. The subject will be the same as that of the Yale-Harvard Freshman debate:-

"Resolved, That there should be a large and immediate increase in the navy of the United States."

The debate will be opened on the affirmative by J. P. Warren '96; on the negative by R. M. Alden, Gr. All Freshmen, especially those who have this year been members of the Freshman Debating Society, are invited to compete.

Tonight the Union holds its regular debate in Sever 11 at 7.30. Subject:-

"Resolved, That the Populist Party is entitled by its record to permanence in National Politics."

With the exception of the Freshman competition this will be the last debate this term.
