The regular meeting of the Freshman Debating Club was held last evening, the question for debate being, "Resolved, That the abolition of the death penalty would be for the interest of humanity." The principal disputants were W. S. Parker and P. L. Miller for the affirmative, and H. L. Blackwell and A. R. Campbell for the negative. The debate was awarded to the affirmative.
