Olympic Games.

ATHENS, APRIL 6.- The Olympic games opened here today amid the greatest enthusiasm. About 80,000 spectators watched the events. The summary of the events is:

100 meter dash; first heat won by S. A. Lane, Princeton. Time, 12 2/5s. Second heat won by Thomas Curtis, B. A. A. Time, 12 4/5s. Third heat won by Thomas F. Burke, B. A. A. Time, 11 4/5s. The final heat is scheduled for Friday.

In the 800 meters none of the Americans competed.

In throwing the discus, Capt. Robert Garret, of the Princeton team, won against the Greeks.

1000 meters run.- First heat won by H. Jamison, Princeton. Second heat won by Thos. E. Burke, B. A. A.
