We congratulate heartily the men that have been chosen to represent the University in the coming debate with Yale. The debate takes place early in May and will be one of the greatest events of the college year, for it is one of the few occasions on which Harvard and Yale will meet as contestants. Yale has beaten Princeton and Harvard has beaten Princeton so this debate will determine the supremacy for this year. The confidence of the Yale supporters has been shaken by the victory of Harvard over Princeton, and the New Haven men realize fully that they will have to make the most strenuous efforts it they are to have any hope of success. They are making the most earnest efforts, and the greatest interest is taken in debating by the Yale undergraduates.

We have great confidence in the men that have been chosen to represent our University, and we feel that we may count upon them to do their utmost to bring Harvard success. If then the enthusiasm of the students in general can be thoroughly awakened, and kept awake, we have little fear for the result of this decisive debate.
