Harvard-Princeton Debate.

The second annual debate between Harvard and Princeton will take place, as before announced, next Friday evening, March 13, in Sanders Theatre. The subject of the debate will be: "Resolved That Congress should take immediate steps towards the immediate retirement of the greenbacks." The affirmative will be supported by the Princeton men, Herbert Ure '96 of New Jersey, Robert McNutt McElroy '96 of Missouri, and Frederick William Loetscher '96 of Iowa. For Harvard, William S. Youngman L. S. of Pennsylvania, Joseph P. Warren '96 of Massachusetts, and Fletcher Dobyns '98 of Ohio will represent the negative. F. R. Steward of Montana is Harvard's alternate.

Each of the six speakers will have a twelve minute speech and also a rebuttal speech of five minutes.

The sale of seats will begin at Thurston's tomorrow morning, when members of the Union, the Forum, and the Freshman Debating Club will have the first choice of seats. The secretaries of the three clubs must hand their lists of members to C. E. Bryan '96 sometime today. The public sale will begin next Monday morning. The price of seats will be fifty cents.

After the debate there will be a banquet at the Empire Cafe, Boston, to which members of the three debating clubs are invited. The price per plate will be $2.50. Those intending to attend should hand their names to R. C. Davis, 20 Ware Hall. Among those who have signified their intention of being present are ex-Governor J. D. Long, ex- Governor William E. Russell, Acting Governor Roger Wolcott, and President Eliot.
