Farley B. Goddard of the class of '81 died on Wednesday at Eastman, Georgia, where he was stopping for his health.
Professor Goddard was a native of Malden, Mass., and a graduate of the Malden High School. He took his A.B. at Harvard in 1881, and three years later was given his Ph.D. He was co-author of several text-books now in use in the public schools.
He made considerable research in Egyptology and was a recognized authority on the archaeology of the Rameses and Pharaohs.
The funeral will take place at his late home on Chestnut street, Malden, Sunday afternoon.
