The 'varsity squad, exclusive of the battery candidates, still numbers about 33 men and the work of the past week remains unchanged. Ely '98 and Gregory '97 have lately joined the pitching squad.
Yesterday afternoon the outfielders were to have practiced catching flies on Holmes Field, but this work had to be postponed owing to the storm.
Of late the work in the cage has become so monotonous that Captain Dean has decided to give all the candidates a rest until next Monday.
