The competitive debate for membership in the Harvard Union was held last night in Sever 11. The question was: "Resolved, That the attitude of the United States government on the Venezuelan question should be commended." After the principal disputants, Charles Grilk '98 and S. P. Delaney '96, twenty-five men spoke from the floor. They were: A. M. Fulton, Jr., '97, S. B. Fay '96, G. A. Howe '96, M. D. Abrams '98, C. F. Regan '98, A. A. Bryant '97, A. M. Sayre '97, I. Zeigler Sp., C. E. Case '98, V. Taylor Sp., A. O. Lovejoy Gr., W. T. Arndt '97, M. L. Stern L. S., G. B. Hanavan '98, C. H. Goodwin L. S., D. Fales, Jr., '97, W. E. Weaver '98, B. Wyman '97, G. W. Naumburg '98, H. F. Robinson '98, R. T. Parke '98, J. E. Gregg '97, W. E. Dorman '98, and R. E. Olds '97. The judges, H. C. Lakin L. S., and C. W. Mixter Gr., recommended ten of these men for membership. they will be voted on at the next meeting of the Union.
