Last week A. Lovering '97 made a strength record of 1526 points at the gymnasium. This is within three of the highest record held by E. Klein '95.
J. R. Procter, Jr., '98, was elected vicepresident of the College Civil Service Reform League at the annual meeting of the Civil Service Reform League held at Philadelphia last week.
Professor Emerton is to give six lectures on mediaeval history, to take the place of the next six lectures in History I. Two of these will be given before Christmas.
The following members of this year's Pennsylvania eleven have received the 'varsity "P": Wharton, Woodruff, Overfield, Uffenheimer, Farrar, B. W. Dickson, Hedges, Boyle, Weeks, Goodman, A. K. Dickson, Morice, Minds, Jackson and Gelbert. Wm. H. Wanamaker has presented the entire team with souvenirs in the shape of small gold footballs, each of which has on the back the name and position of the owner.
