R. H. Russell and Son, publishers, have just issued an attractive volume for those interested in posters called 'Posters in Miniature." It contains over two hundred and fifty reproductions of the most celebrated posters, French, English and American, giveing special attention to the American poster and its artists, together with several portraits of well known poster designers, such as Cheret, Grasset and Beardsley. There is an introduction and titlepage by Edward Penfield.
We have also received from the same publishers a unique calendar for 1897 by Edward Penfield, done in the manner of his well-known posters. It consists of five new and effective designs, one for each of the seasons, printed in colors.
