Both trial eights rowed over the Back Bay course on time Saturday afternoon. A drizzling rain fell and the conditions were not favorable to fast time, but in spite of this each crew made a creditable performance.
There will be no change in the makeup of the two crews, as there was but four seconds difference in their times. J. H. Perkins' crew rowed in 11.33 and Captain Goodrich's crew in 11.29. It may be said, however, that the conditions were not exactly equal for both trials and this fact together with the slight difference in time makes the outcome of the race next Saturday very uncertain.
The two crews were made up as follows:
Boardman, stroke, Bull.
J. H. Perkins 7 Goodrich.
Ames, 6, Thomson.
Duffield, 5, Hollister.
Sprague, 4, J. F. Perkins.
Cameron, 3, McDuffie.
Rice, 2, Marvin.
Adams, bow, Hurley.
Huidekoper, cox., Rust.
