The decision of the Faculty not to allow the musical clubs to make their Christmas trip will bring the keenest disappointment not only to the members of the musical clubs themselves but to almost the whole undergraduate body. The disappointment is the deeper because no reason for forbidding the trip, which appears to the undergraduates to be of any weight, has been given them.

The decision is given, however, and there is nothing for the musical clubs to do but to make the best of a bad case. It is sincerely hoped that, although deprived of the greatest incentive to continue their practice, which at the best grows monotonous and wearisome, they will not fail to make the clubs the best college organizations of their kind in the country, as they have been in past years.
