The Petition for Spring Water at Memorial Hall Not Granted.

To the Editors of the Crimson:

In response to a petition requesting that spring water be served on the tables in Memorial Hall, the Board of Directors, at a meeting held Nov. 20, decided that it would be more advantageous to the association to continue having the supply of water come from the present source for the following reasons:

An analysis, made by Dr. Harrington of the Medical School, proved the water now used to be as suitable for drinking purposes as spring water, inasmuch as its quality is "excellent" and is "free from contamination."

Further, seventy-five dollars per month, which is the cost of the spring water, is saved the association.

F. F. LAMSON, Secretary, For the Board of Directors.
